Vietnam welcomes back European Music Festival 2012

The European Music Festival 2012 is taking place at the Youth Theatre of Vietnam (Hanoi) and Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music (Ho Chi Minh City) in between 22/11 and 1/12/2012.

This event is annually held by the European Union in Vietnam and EU member embassies, in collaboration with the Culture, Sport and Tourism Department of Vietnam in November, with the performance of artists from both Vietnam and European countries.

The highlight of this year’s event is the piano performances of talented pianists coming from Germany, Hungary, Poland, and Sweden. Besides, European Music Festival 2012 is bringing to Hanoi audience extremely exciting nights of pop and jazz, with the attendance of England, Netherland and Belgium.

Especially, the famous Sweden soprano high Emma Transtromer will bring to the show poetic melodies composed by her farther – poet Tomas Transtromer, who won the Nobel Prize in Literature last year.

In 2011, the European Music Festival enlightened a musical month of November in Vietnam with performances of 20 artists from various countries in the Europe like Germany, Belgium, France, Netherland, England or Slovakia with music genres such as classical, jazz, pop, rock, and world music.
